Ingredients:
1 medium head of green cabbage, chopped
6 slices of bacon, chopped
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp butter (optional for extra flavor)
Instructions:
Cook the Bacon : In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the grease in the pan.
Sauté Onion and Garlic : Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until translucent (about 3 minutes). Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
Add Cabbage : Stir in the chopped cabbage. Sauté it in the bacon grease for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it becomes tender and slightly caramelized.
Season : Sprinkle with paprika, salt, and pepper to taste. If you prefer, add a tablespoon of butter for extra richness.
Combine : Add the cooked bacon back to the skillet and toss everything together.
Serve : Serve hot as a side dish or a main course.
